The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to work within the Palliative and Supportive Care Education (PaSCE) team to support the delivery of our Residential Aged Care Education in Palliative Care (RACEPC) program.

Based in Subiaco, this position is Part Time 0.8FTE, fixed term until 30 June 2025. There may be a requirement to work outside of regular business hours.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the PaSCE Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Proactively maintaining current awareness of the project activities and status.
  • Preparing project status reports and maintaining logs and registers.
  • Taking an active part in the project management process, by continuing to identify areas of grown and development.
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on project plans and timelines and reporting any issues to the PaSCE Manager.
  • Checking project compliance with stakeholders and highlight any issues to the PaSCE Manager.
  • Providing administrative support to the PaSCE team.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Representing Cancer Council WA at appropriate meetings, seminars and other events.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in project coordination
  • Previous experience in office administration (desirable)
  • Significant experience in coordinating programs including evaluation and development
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise, task-shift and be intuitive
  • Experience working in a health environment (desirable)
  • A tertiary qualification in a health-related profession (desirable)
  • Knowledge or experience working in Palliative care (desirable)
  • High proficiency in the use of software applications or Learning Management Systems
  • Strong numeracy and data entry skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised autonomously or within a team environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
