The opportunity

As part of the Corporate Services division and reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for providing advice, coordination, and administration of all functions related to CCWA’s employment lifecycle. This includes talent attraction, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and separation.

Additionally, this role will oversee the administration of CCWA's volunteer program.

Based in Subiaco, this position is part-time (0.6 FTE).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support recruitment and selection processes for employees and volunteers.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for employees and volunteers.
  • Undertake generalist HR duties including in the areas of work health & safety and learning & development.
  • Maintenance of personnel files, assisting with audits, HR registers and databases.
  • Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in HR or working towards a HR qualification
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using database and online systems
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong administration and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders with confidentiality, professionalism and discretion
  • A team-orientated, customer-focused approach to work
  • Experience using HR software is desired
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Positive approach to the workplace
